re:store on Maiden Lane

A few weeks ago, I checked out the recently launched re:store on Maiden Lane in San Francisco, a destination to shop online brands in real life, featuring curated products brought in from the online world (“the best online brands from URL to IRL”). I can only say that with their stunning displays and decor, walking through this store felt like a gallery experience.

I soon learned that re:store is actually more than just a brick-and-mortar for these online brands; it is a collaborative community featuring events promoting entrepreneurship and creativity, as well as a top-floor beautiful co-working space. I really enjoyed the experience of discovering old and new brands, and getting to know who, how, and why behind these products.

Some of the brands I was particularly excited to see and experience in-person included Sézane, AMANU, Foe & Dear, LARQ, Mansur Gavriel, and Senreve. They also had SHHHOWERCAP which was nice to see live and try on the fit in real life. I also discovered brands I had not yet known about, including Le Mini Macaron. This is an at-home gel manicure kit that essentially is a 1-step gel polish and cute LED lamp shaped like a mini macaron (and works as well as salon lamps, with less UV exposure) – which I was very excited to take home!

Reaching the top floor, I found the co-working space to be spacious and inspirational. Definitely a place I could easily hang out in for a long time. I can’t wait to come back!
