The first time I laid my eyes on the IC Floor Lamp by Michael Anastassiades I was stunned by the simplicity and elegance of the lighting pieces from FLOS. Playing with light is an ethos of FLOS, which I can resonate with as a photographer. When it comes to home design, I’ve loved using the duality of FLOS pieces as both lighting and art. Over the years I’ve worked with FLOS to showcase a few of their classic and new pieces – most recently the Bellhop and Copycat lamps which I’ve styled in various corners of my home.

The Copycat table lamp is also one of my most favorite pieces from FLOS. An elegant pairing of simple, balanced orbs, it features a hand-blown glass opal diffuser with an aluminum sphere gold-coated with 24K gold. It is surprisingly stable as well, despite its appearance.

The Bellhop is such a fun piece, inspired by the uniforms of hotel bellhops. I initially thought it was also made of glass, but it’s actually a glossy polycarbonate which is perfect for its portable nature. It has 24 hours of battery life, which is perfect for areas that are in need of cordless lighting.

Here are a few other FLOS pieces I’ve also loved having in my home, including the Bon Jour Unplugged LED Table Lamp, another portable option, and Serena Table Lamp, an elegant and artful piece with an aluminum reflector designed to look like a leaf in the wind.
